Christina went to the usual place she saw Lisa after school- the park.
Sure, it was an odd place, but it seemed that Lisa and another girl were always there, rowing in the canoes on the lake, swimming, or something else. Christina passed the park on her way home every day and thought that Lisa must have really loved it there. Under the beautiful about-to-bloom sakura trees, the park was stunning.
She reluctantly entered the park and saw Lisa at the dock, unchaining her usual polished canoe from the store-shed. She pulled the rope on the bow and led it over to the other girl. Christina began to approach her, and when Lisa did see her, she smiled and waved. Lisa said a few words to the other girl, and jogged over to Christina.
"Hey! Howre you?"
Christinas tone and expression were uneasy. "UhIve been ok"
Lisa acted as though she knew what was up. She pulled Christina to the side and whispered, "Do you know anything about a Time Guardian..?"
This wasnt going to be very difficult to do at all. She nodded. "She told meto speak with youI didnt know-"
"Neither did I! Im glad you came here though. I can show you what she meant" The girl on the dock spun around to let a small gray cat leap out of her arms. The cat ran toward Lisa.
"Hey Lees. I guess this is Christina?"
"He can talk?!"
Lisas face got a skeptical look. "Weve had weird dreams and now talking petsjust go with it"
The cat grew angry. "Lisa!"
"Sorry"
"Th names Tiki, Im a cat guardian. Lisa told me all about the dream," he explained, facing Christina. "Youre her partner." But before he could speak anymore, a sudden jolt went through his tiny feline body. "Lees! Feel that?"
"Yeah!"
Christina looked around. "What?"
Tiki nodded to Lisa. "Christina, come on!" She grabbed Christinas arm and began running after the already moving cat.
They flew down the street. Lisa lurched to a halt, as if she had suddenly become lost. "Tiki, which-" But the cat was moving again. Lisa followed it with Christina following.
Does this have something to do with the dreams? With the Guardian of Time? Christina felt dizzy. She stopped running. Lisa turned back.
"Christina?"
But she didnt respond. She felt a strong surge of weird energy insideit tore at her, telling her to go the way Tiki was. Demanding it
Tiki smirked. "Lees, shes got it. She can feel the negative energy as well."
"Thatll be a help. Christina, follow where it tells you to go, its your instinctyour powers are awakening and your instinct has become stronger, like mine."
Christina didnt fully understand, but she nodded, and ran toward the feeling. It grewpulsingpulling her somewhere, God knew where.
Tired and out of breath, they arrived at a nearby school. Lisa gasped. "Thisthis is my school" She clasped a hand into a fist. "Theyre messing with me now, personally!" She gave Tiki a questioning look, glanced at Christina, then back. He nodded. Lisa pulled a blue brooch off the middle of her uniform that Christina hadnt noticed before. "Galaxy KarmaPower!" Then the most incredible thing happenedLisa turned into Sailor Galaxy!
"Your turn, Christina!" The cat focused and with a flash of light, a purple locket clacked onto the ground. "Hold it up and shout: Unity Karma Power!"
She did exactly this. A weird haze danced around her as her school uniform morphed into a sailor suit- a skirt, collar, boots, gloves, and even a tiara.
"Im-Ima Sailor Scout?!?"
"Sailor Unity." Lisa smiled and motioned towards the school. "Weve got a job to do."
Christina felt a power unlike any other surging inside her. The oceanit calls meto fightI will do sofor my planetfor my family Where had those thoughts come from? What planet..? She would fight, thats all she knewshe would fight to find herself.
